Founding Engineer (Full-Stack)
Helsinki / Europe · Full-time · Base comp + equity
57,000 - 68,000 EUR / Yearly
We're building Peron, a spin-off platform to autopilot B2B workplace services. Catering is the wedge we inherited from Fygë. Service-as-a-software is the thesis. Replace the human coordination layer (emails, calls, spreadsheets) between companies and the people who feed, clean, and run their workplaces with a system that learns from every transaction.
Why this is real, not a deck
— Live product in customers' hands
— €1.5M+ corporate catering business (Fygë) funneling real transaction data into the platform
— 18 months of runway
— SAFE round closing this fall with named angels and family offices
— Lead advisor who built one of the largest workplace catering networks in North America
I (Szabi, founder) built Fygë from zero to €1.5M+ in four years — bootstrapped, no consultants, won Business Finland funding twice. 900 corporate clients across Helsinki. Replaced myself with MD at the Service co. Now I'm full-time on the platform, Peron and we need a second builder next to our lead engineer.
The role
This is not a formal CTO position. It's not "we'll figure out what you do." It's a founding-engineer slot for a full-stack builder who:
— Ships features lightning fast, end-to-end, without three meetings about it
— Owns architecture decisions in their domain
— Reads the roadmap and disagrees with parts of it
— Has built things alone before — products, side projects, tools or even startups — and has opinions about how software and business should be built
— Is AI-native, not AI-curious: you integrate models into real workflows; you don't bolt a chatbot onto a sidebar
You work directly with our lead engineer and with me. You touch product, architecture, and code on day one.
Stack
Docker, PHP 8.3, Laravel, React, GitLab. Heavy LLM API use across the platform. If you've worked with Laravel and know how to wire models into real workflows, you'll be productive in week one.
PHP runs our working product and it ships fast. I am confident in it today, open to where it should go tomorrow. I want the person who helps decide that, too.
What's in it for you
— Real ownership. Founding-engineer equity stake, not symbolic. Your decisions shape the product, the architecture, and the company.
— Speed and autonomy. No JIRA hell, no design-by-committee, no three layers of approval. You ship, you ship fast, and your code is in front of real users in week one.
— A real business underneath you. €1.5M+ catering operation already running on the platform, funding for the next 18 months, SAFE round closing this fall. You're not joining a "pray for product-market fit" startup — there's a business already pulling the platform forward.
— Direct line to the founder. You'll hear customer conversations, see the unit economics, and learn the operator side — not just the engineering side. The next thing you build, you'll know how a business actually works.
— Compounding craft. The harder problems in AI-native product building, like agentic workflows, retrieval over proprietary transaction data, structured extraction from messy real-world inputs, eval frameworks against real customer outcomes. The skills you build here compound for the next decade not only online but IRL distribution as well.
— Path forward. If the fit is real and you want to grow into a CTO or cofounder role over time, that's a conversation we'll have openly. We're not pre-deciding who you become here.
Who this isn't for
— People optimizing their CV for the next title bump
— Anyone who needs JIRA tickets to know what to do next
— "I'm passionate about AI" people who haven't actually shipped anything with it
How to apply
Send us anything that shows what you've built. A GitHub repo. A live product. A Loom walking through something you designed. A side project that taught you something. A CV is fine, but on its own it doesn't tell us what we need to know.
We reply to every serious applicant within a week.
